It's definately worth it
Many soundtracks (Beavis and Butt-Head is another good example) have vastly different soundtracks between the Genesis and SNES versions. I can't say for sure why, but my guess would include, but not limited to, any combination of these:
-In my opinion, Genesis had superior instrument sound to the SNES. Many cool effects, reverbs, and modulation can be heared on lots of Genesis music.
-Different dev. teams for different versions of games?
-Liscensing?
-Higher Genesis sound bandwith?
Can you think of anything else?
