Hello everyone, I'm brand new here, as you can probably tell from my post count and humble countenance. Prior to signing up for this forum, I attempted to download episode 1 of Tenchi Universe, a show that I grew up watching during the golden years of Cartoon Network. I right clicked and saved as, but it didn't seem to be specifying a format. I let the download run it's course, since the file size was right on it, and in the end it turned out to me an htm document. Of course, this cannot be loaded in any of my media player; neither can I change the format into an acceptable one.
My question is this: what format must I specify while saving the file? While using programs that directly save videos from youtube and the like, I know that I must put a .flv at the end of the name of the file I want to download, and I suspect this is a similar case. If it is not, then I'm guessing the problem is on this website's end and not mine.
If at anytime my questions can be cleared up, it would be much appreciated.
Edit: After finding the FAQ on the front page, I should make clear that this is the very first file I have tried to download. I have not donated to this site, nor do I plan to; excuse my directness, but if I had the money to help pay for this website, I would simply buy the boxed set. If all downloads have now been restricted to paying customers, then I suppose I will walk away disappointed from what seemed at first to be a reputable download site.
Edit the Second: I am using Firefox, in case that is part of the problem.
Edit the Third: I tried using Down Them All!, and the program could not download the episode either.
Edit the Fourth: Hold the phone; after repeatedly clicking 'resume' on Down Them All! The file has began downloading as an ogm file. I've downloaded a player that supports such files, and will test it out once the episode has been completely downloaded.
Edit the Fifth: The files plays. That is all.
