Hey I'm new here. Guess it's a good place to post my first post.

Wooohwee!! Manga and Anime are the greatest thing I've discovered in my life. ^^
Ever since I was little I've always wachted american cartoons but I couldn't really understand the fun part of it. It couldn't make me laught.
Yet when my big bro showed me some Anime, then I laughed and enjoyed. I became crasy about Manga and Anime.
They're so much diffrendt from any other cartoon and a diffrendt culture. It amazed me so much.

Why wouldn't I? I like comics, and I like really good art. Even Kiyohiko Azuma can draw guns better than whoever draws the panels for The Punisher. They're just comics from Japan, and I don't really make a big deal out of the fact that they're from Japan, because that would show a little unconscious segregation.
They DO usually have a little separation on being about weirder stuff, though.

Check it out, man. Game over, too.
Also, people, don't just sit around looking at the forums and doing nothing, POST. But post with a purpose.

Almost the same reason as I like comics. Good stories.

i love reading and have grew up with both japanese manga and american comic. somehow, with the american comic, you'll find yourself getting tired of the mass market while the non-mainstream are so hard to find or just plain unattractive, even with some great topic. however, japanese manga has so many variety that you are able to go from shonen to seinen to shoujo to josei and not felt as if the issues are that much varied, as the core issues are quite the same... i've read yakitate!! japan at the same time i'm reading beck, pastel, monster, ichigo 100%, kick off!, kamen rider spirits and iryu; never once i need to have a specific mood fpr any particular genre as all seems natural to me... you can't do that while reading x-men to say, paradise like that...

I love reading japanese manga because the stories/concepts are pretty unique. Aside from that, the characters in japanese manga are nicely drawn compared to american manga (almost the same faces and concept/story)...^_^
