Parents reactions to anime

I'm curious how different people's parents reacted to their child watching anime. My mother, being a somewhat narow-minded person, has yet to actually talk to me about my slight -cough- obsession with anime, but I know she really doesn't approve. Ah, well. Not living at home any more is amazing. ^.^

So how did your parents react, or do they not even know?

My parents do not like it at all. They think it leads to evil things and dark places. Thankfully I am too old for them to make too much of a fuss about it so they let me watch what I want.

They mostly think "meh". Although my mother sometimes shows interest because she wants to learn what I like about it so much.

my mother thinks they're absolutely evil while my dad could care less (then again he used to read comics all the time when he was younger)

Evil? Really? Did they say why? That just seems like such a... strange way to view anime, so I'm curious. Feel free to not answer if you don't want to for some reason.

Wow, I guess I was lucky. My dad was just like "Meh, you can watch whatever you want, so long as I don't see you trying to make a pact with Satan or anything" And then I got him watching Inuyasha and Yu Yu Hakusho and now he's into anime.

My parents seem to think that anime leads to sexual things. I was also a dork and left Hellsing laying on my bedroom floor. My mom saw it and was afraid I was now worshiping satan or something.

Kat: Worshiping Satan... because of anime... interesting. I haven't seen much Hellsing, though, so I can't really say anything about it. The art just looked weird to me so I moved on. ^^

they say they're 4 kids...but i see them anyway
