One day my mom asked me what this junk was on the DVR, I was a little embarrased because I don't really talk about watching anime with anyone except a small handful of people. I just said, Oh it's some tv shows I've recorded. Finally I said they were jap. cartoons. She just said she thought they were dumb. In short, she really care.

My father is addicted to Naruto and Dragon Ball..... ^^; My mother just.... "I don't care" But if they saw some kissing scene, or nudity scene.... they'll go ,"Oh my god it porn!"

I was sadly deprived from anime at a young age. I caught a glimpse of Sailor Moon on TV once and my grandmother was all, that's too violent! and turns it off. :[ They probably don't know I'm watching it now, ha ha, on a friend's Pocket PC. Probably one day my dad's going to wonder what all these huge files on my computer are and realize I have a whole bunch of movies on the hard drive.

My parents really dislike the fact that I enjoy anime. They think it's weird that I'm enjoying media from another culture. My dad completely and utterly hates it, my mom makes a little effort to understand what I like about 'em but can't find it. They both seem to think the Japanese language is evil, as well as any scene involving romance.

My parents didn't care. Actually my dad grew up with gigantor, speed racer, and astro boy back in the day of black and white.

Lol my mom loves anime! She's watch just as much as I have! And the nice thing is it doesn't matter what I'm watching she just sits down and joins me. Anything from Hellsing to Ah! My Goddess. But then again she's always like cartoons and comic books...
