crashkid77: Age is just a way to single out groups based on a majority. For instance, you can't vote until your 18 because most adults think that youths are not mature enough to participate in politics until this age. Such things ring true again at a driving age and at the drinking age. As to whether or not age should really be a factor, I say no. Everyone learns different things at different times. Wisdom comes with experience; aren't we all full of experiences?
evil_kenshin: well you have two options here basicly pursue the relationship with the girl but you'll lose your friend (even if you say he gave up, he'll definatly be atleast jelouse if his friend started going out with the very girl who ignored him) or keep your friendship and back off from the girl its not an easy decision but thats unfortunatly what this basicly comes down too, just depends what you value more
